March 13th and 14th, 2020

 

INSTRUCTOR:  BETH LEASURE-HUDSON (beth@bethleasure.com)

An enjoyable rolling classroom in a beautiful outdoor setting.  We'll demonstrate and drill climbing and descending dkills and discuss training.  We'll ride the tough steeps along the Scenic Parkway.  On Saturday, we'll put it all together riding to the top of Cheaha and back!

DATE:           Friday, March 13th, 3PM - 6PM   (3 hours)

DATE:           Saturday, March 14th, 9AM - NOON (3 hours)

COST:           $79 per rider for both sessions; $49 for each day

BRING:         Snacks, liquids, weather-ready gear, your bike, and be ready for FUN learning!

Braking & Weight Distribution for Faster Descending

Winds on Descents

Long Climbs:  Grinding & Spinning

Training for Long Climbs

Break Into Groups and Climb Cheaha

Return at Your Own Pace / Ride With a Coach

 

ABOUT THE INSTRUTOR

 

Beth Leasure-Hudson is a former bike racer turned coach and pro cycling performance expert. Through her experience and interests, she considers herself a compassionate, science-based teacher offering a comprehensive program in competitive cycling success. Beth also acts as a consultant in various community or sponsor-based projects to broaden cycling awareness, represent brand or marketing interests, and steward resources for cycling causes. Beth is married to recreational cyclist and keen hill descender, Mike Hudson whom she met at a crossroads on a training ride. Their intersected lives are dedicated to serving others.
